Are there any Facebook groups for AAC builders?

Yes there is a Hebel plant in Monterrey, Mexico. I have to have the AAC block shipped from Monterrey to southern Costa Rica. Nobody has used it in southern CR. There is a distributor of AAC in northern CR. I will have to see what the trucking costs are....I also will be using basalt rebar instead of steel.

So you plan to build a house that will be there in 1,000 years? Basalt rebar is a bold move I haven't tried yet. I suggest a structural engineer's input. Humble-brag, I've visited that Monterrey plant.

Our structural and civil engineer in Costa Rica have done their research on basalt rebar and are okay with using it. We also have some coaching from an engineer that Hebel in Mexico sent us to. He doesn't know anything about using basalt rebar though. We're also getting coaching from an engineer in the US (originally from Mexico) who knows how to use basalt rebar, mesh, fibers etc. I will go to these facebook groups. Thanks for the support.
